sad day, though fun. I replaced the spark plugs and the ex500 overheated right on cue. I blocked the air intake to prevent it from being too lean - too much first, then I got it right. Still overheated on cue.

At this point it's an engine rebuild. which I have no money for, and thus its no endurance race for me.

That sadness aside, I wore out my knee pucks and my rear tire today. Big strips came off... a sight to see. But my frustration pervades everything and I never beat my 2:11 from yesterday...
