Court has ruled in my favor.

I did not receive the entire amount I asked for, but the small claims court has ruled that the contractor owes me $2275 (of the original $4000) plus my court costs.

It's not perfect, but it's better than I had dared to hope for. Happy.

Is there a charity that helps homeless that you trust?

In deep appreciation of the fact that I have a home, and that this judgement will allow me to re-assemble it, I plan to donate the $275 that is above the halfway mark to a homeless charity.

Is there a charity that does good, effective work for homeless people in SF that you would recommend for this?
