So I'm trying out a new-ish technique called
Interval Training in a vain attempt to lose the final 20lbs that I really need to lose. Today was the first day.
My regiment was 10 minutes of cardio, 5 minutes of non-stop weights, repeat, rinse, repeat. I did this for 1 hour. When I did weights I would do one exercise for 15 reps, then jump up and do a related exercise for 15 reps, then back to the original. I usually could only complete a total of 60 reps before my body flat out gave out, and I would crawl back to the cardio machine.
Now I usually work out for an hour, 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of weights. This was
much, much harder because there were no breaks. Oddly, however, when I left I wasn't even half as exhausted as I normally am. I was energized and enthused. Totally turned on, happy.
I'm baking cookies right now, drinking a Cab Franc and dancing around the room.
Very odd, but nice!
