I broke a nearly two-month hiatus last night, finally getting my creative bit engaged again.

I integrated all the comments from readers that hadn't been addressed so far. I also integrated some new understandings from myself about personal responses to pain, and how adding more of this would help make the main character more real (which was a good part of the commentary too).

The final has been mailed out to a few people for a last check, then it's off to Clarkesworld. Because this really is for them, and has been since I first starting reading there. If they punt I'll rethink for elsewhere.
